The Serbian government has approved an agreement reached with Kosovo on 19 April in Brussels.
At the meeting held Monday morning, without the presence of the media, the Government decided to approve the historic pact.
Prime Minister Ivica Dacic following the decision taken by the Government, called the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, to give the latest news personally.
According to a statement from the office of Serbian prime minister, said that the adoption of the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, has been unanimous cabinet.

For this decision today, Serbian Prime Minister personally informed the head of the EU office in Belgrade, Vincent Deger, which has submitted a formal letter of approval under agreement with Pristina by the Serbian government.
Aleksandar Vucic, deputy prime minister, said that if necessary organize a referendum, but all parties have stated that they do not treason. During the week, the Serbian Parliament is expected to discuss and approve the document for Kosovo.
Some smaller parties have consistently stated that will organize protests against the agreement because Serbia has recognized Kosovo's independence.
Earlier, Prime Minister Ivica Dacic stated that there would be exactly the Government would take a decision on the deal, because it was a matter for the internal policies and external to the country.
"If the Government accepts the agreement, I expect the EU to start accession talks with Serbia," said Dacic previous day.
